Fireblood Review

Hello everyone, I just finished a book called Fireblood by Elly Blake. Sorry it took so long to get
back to you guys but I had a summer camp last week. But I managed to finish it before I left camp.  So this is the second book in the Frostblood series, Ruby is still the main character but there are new people to come in. At the beginning Ruby goes to a ball for the new king Arcus of the frostbloods, but remember that Ruby is a fireblood, so they don't get along very well. At the ball she meets another fireblood name Kai who is a prince in the fireblood islands, and has come to take her back to those islands in order of they're queen, Queen Nalani, who believed that Ruby was her niece, but she had to be sure of it first.

I don't want to give away a lot about this, but let me tell you, this story was exciting.

There are a couple of things I loved about this book. One of the biggest is the level of action that the author puts into this book. A great example is when the author has really big emotional moments, such as kisses between Ruby and Kai and then the author throws in a real curve ball and the reader is suddenly wanting to know more.

I also liked the fact that she really makes the characters feel alive in the book. Too often I read a story where the characters seem really fake. I especially liked the fact that she created a situation where two people loved one girl and you really didn't know until the end, who she would end up with.

I would honestly give this book 4 1/2 stars and would really recommend this to anyone...

I was very excited to hear from my mom who went to the Romance Writers of America conference that she found an author that has some books that I might like to read.

I am looking forward to reading Meg Kassel's latest release Blackbird of the Gallows. This was a RITA finalist.

I'll let you know once I get a chance to read this!

Frostblood Review

As I said I would see how fast I could finish that book and I did. The book Frostblood by Elly Blake was a really amazing book that truly makes you want to keep reading. I was about a girl named Ruby who has fire powers, she and her mother lived in a cottage far away from the village and in the very beginning Ruby gets caught by the frost Kings guards and they kill her mom. After they kill her mom she gets taken to a prison where she is to just stay there and rot away like all the other prisoners. But not long after to guys come along and they find Ruby, they are known as frostbloods, firebloods enemy's and they take her to an abbey to heal and train her. They keep her at the abbey for safety so that when the time comes for the plan to go into action that she will be ready. But one day she was out practicing with one of those guys , because the other one was out looking for a person who was trying to give information to the frost king, and what happened was these soldiers came riding up and tried to capture her. But when she tried to escape through the tunnels under the abbey they caught her and brought her to the king. After the king saw her he said that he would put her in the beasts den and if she survived she would gain some trust from him. So he put her in the den and she killed the beast, and he was angry with her because it took him fourteen men just to get the creature. After his little tantrum the king put her in his arena to try and kill her, apparently no fireblood has ever made it out alive, but she did and she also killed the hardest champion and she became the new champion. The king trusted her so much he wanted her to gain all the power from so weird curse on his throne and she did, at the end of the book. But before she did that she was put into the arena again to go against someone who had gone into the abbey and killed lots of people. Instead of that guy she found one of the guys his name is Arcus and she is in love with him, and so she is now supposed to fight him and its a fight to the death, nobody dies but Arcus says he is actually the true king to the throne and its true. So when he is distracting the crowd she sneaks away and goes to destroy the throne but before she does that the king finds her and she takes all the magic from the throne and Arcus tries to save her because the king froze her. she breaks out and destroys both the throne and the king. Soon after its the day of the coronation and Ruby is not allowed to go because she is sick and Arcus comes in and they have a friendly little chat and the very last thing he says "When it comes to you, I like to be burned." and those are the very last words of the book. This is a book I highly recommend to those who love a little impossible romance and a little battle. Do remember I love to hear comments from you of authors that you think I should read. I will get back to you on those books, but please if you want to recommend a book please do and have a great day.

What I'm Reading Now

So right now I am reading the book Frostblood by Elly Blake. This story is about a girl who has fire powers and her mother is dead in like the first chapter, and right after her mother has died she gets taken to this prison. In which she is treated poorly, and by doing so she become really weak cause they dump ice cold water onto her head. not soon after though she get rescued by a two guys and one of them has ice powers and they get of the prison and heal her at some church. But not long after guards are searching every village trying to find her. While the guards are doing that she trains with the Frostblood because he has some sort of mission to kill the king of the Frostblood who is making all the Firebloods stay hidden either on an island where most of them are or they could stay and try to live a normal life near the Frostblood. I haven't finished the book yet so I will let you guys know how it ends, this book does have another book in its series its called Fireblood and its just probably going to be like the same way it was in this book. Now I love hearing comments from you guys so if you want me to read a book please feel free to leave a book title or just an author, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
