The Summer of Broken Things by Margret Haddix Peterson Review
I have gotten a great book called The Summer of Broken Things by Margret Haddix Peterson, who i got the liberty of meeting at the Cavalcade of Authors that happened this year. This was a truly amazing book and i can't wait to read more of hers.
So this book was about two girls who used to be friends when they were really little but aren't friends anymore since they don't hangout anymore. the two girls are Kayla and Avery. Avery's dad is rich and is going on a business trip to Spain, and is forcing Avery to come along, and he says that she can bring a friend with her because he is going to be gone for a little. Avery already had someone in mind but her father says that he already chose someone for her. He chose Kayla, Avery of course isn't happy about this and complains because Kayla isn't really one of her friends. They go to Spain together, but Avery loses her passport and isn't very happy about it. They are being forced to go to a Spanish class to learn Spanish. Avery doesn't want to go and makes Kayla cover for her. Kayla is enjoying her time in Spain until when the passport gets delivered the girls find out a deep secret that could change their life.
This was such a good book to read, but was a little confusing because it changed back in forth between the two characters. This deserves a 4 1/2 star because of the detail that was put into and the hard work of it. Also if you have any good books to read please leave me a comment and i will see if i can get to the book.

The Selection Series by Kiera Cass Review
Hey guys, so i did a challenge where i read a whole book series in one week and the one i did was called the Selection by Kiera Cass. Kiera Cass also did the book called The Siren which i also did a review to. So, this book should be recommended to people who love the Bachelor, but this time its with royalty.
So this book series starts out with a girl named America who has a rank of a five, a five is a pretty low rank and they don't have enough money, so she has a boyfriend and he is a six so if she were to marry him she would become a six to. So, there is a thing that when the king and queens heir is old enough they start something called the Selection. America gets chosen for this and when the first night rolls around of the competition she is out in the garden and she and the prince, Maxon, seem to bond really well. They just want to stay friends, but there relationship seems to grow more and more. Until, America's old boyfriend shows up, as a royal guard. Maxon sees this strange connection between the two but doesn't see the connection that well. So he carries on with the selection and while he is off with other girls America starts seeing her ex again and hopes not to get caught because if she does she will be kicked off the Selection. But America also feels that her and Maxon's relationship have grown farther apart. Soon, Maxon feels as if he has made his final decision which is to pick America, until he catches America with her ex, and feels betrayed. But in the final ball he was going to pick another girl but there was an attack on the castle, and Maxon gets terribly hurt, America stays with him until the ambush is over, then he truly sees that America does love him and gets married.
After a while they have a a lot of kids and the next books go by the point of view of the oldest, Evelyn, who is soon to be queen. She has come of age to begin the selection, but she wants to rule by herself as just a single ruler, she only said yes because she didn't wish to fall in love and was going to quit after three months of the Selection. But when she begins she happens to find a guy who didn't speak English and needed a translator named Erik. But when Evelyn starts to fall in love with some of the guys, finds out some bad things that could effect her choice. The boys invite her on group dates for a baseball game and cooking in the kitchen. But during the baseball game her mother, America, has a heart attack and is stuck asleep for a while, and because her father, Maxon, is also a little ill, she must be in charge for some time as queen. Still having the Selection to handle and now the county her life is crazy, and must find whom she can trust, because of a sudden threat that accrues from who she thought was a friend, but all he wanted was to take the throne for himself. I don't want to spoil if she picks someone or what happens to the sudden threat, but i did love the end of the book.
I truly loved this book series and would read it again if i wanted. This whole book series deserves a 5 star review, and if you like the Bachelor or the Bachelorette stuff you will love this book series. Also if you have a great book series to read please tell me and i will see what i can to to read it.
Ice like fire by Review Sara Raasch
hey i have finished this great book called Ice like Fire by Sara Raasch, which was the second book in this trilogy and i totally love it. So this book was about how after the first book where if you haven't read Snow like Ashes yet go read that because this next book has a little spoiler that plays a lot into this role. So go read that first before you read this.
So this book is about Meira, who in the last part of the book finds out the Mather is not the soon to be king but Meria is supposed to be the queen. After this happens she tries to find the a chasm of magic but its really dangerous. Meira does this with the help of Theron's help, which they are soon to marry. The find it in a mine and now need to find keys from the other seasons before the bad person does. (The bad persons name is really weird and can't be spelled without auto-correct coming in). So, They go to some of the seasons and i won't tell you whether or not they find the keys, but plot twist comes into action when we find out that Theron is helping the bad guy to find the keys and open the magic chasm for himself. The rest is bad and would spoil the book so i won't tell you that.
This was really an extraordinary book, it wasn't perfect and had some flaws but overall deserves a 4 1/2 stared review. Remember if you have a book that you think would be great and that i should read please leave it in the comments.

Before she leaves she in given a good luck piece from him, a blue ball. She of course gets the artifact and nobody believes that she got it because she was the only one who returned safely without a scratch on her.
