The Glass Spare by Lauren DeStefano review

This book that i just finished is called The Glass Spare by Lauren DeStefano. This book was amazing and i can't wait to read the next book in the series.

So this book was about how a girl named Wil, a spy for the king (her dad), found out that she had powers that when her heart started to accelerate she could turn objects into gems. After an incident with her brother she left home and set out to find a way to get rid of her powers, only to get captured by a prince and his wife who were banished from there kingdom and cursed that if they come in they will die. Very harsh, since they wish to take back the kingdom from his father, but while they are there a fire happens and Wil and the prince'd wife go in to save people only to get captured and taken to the castle. The prince's wife gets confronted and almost executed for marrying the prince who is known as a traitor. but the Prince comes in and saves them but almost dies in the process since he was cursed. They now get on a boat and sail to find someone to cure him and Wil.

This was a short read and i totally recommend this to people who want a fun and fast read. It wasn't a perfect book so this is getting a 4 1/2 star. Also, if you have any good books that you think i should read please comment them, and sorry if it takes so long to finish the books, i just have a lot of other work to do with school.

This was the fourth book in the throne of glass series called Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas and i recommend this book series to people who like the Game of Throne TV show off of HBO.

So this book was about how Celaena Sardathion had been sent over to another continent to go and "kill" another king and queen only to find out that she was really sent there to train and have her powers become a stronger weapon that can help her take back something of hers. She meets an immortal warrior Fae prince named Rowan who can shift into the form of a hawk. Soon she starts to unravel history about her true self that could get her killed or on a throne. Back across the see Dorian is struggling to contain his powers and cope with not having a friend that he can trust in the castle, only to find out that Celaena is someone of great value that could help his kingdom and maybe another kingdom to. Soon he meets up with a very pretty nurse that changes his way of thinking completely, now falling in love with her is all he can think about which is putting her at risk to, if he wanted to be with her there would be a serious consequence that could never be undone. Both of them found secrets that could get them killed and they still tried to save the people that they loved and still failed.

This book was amazing and i love it so much it deserves a solid 5 star review cause it was just that good. Also if you have any good books that you think i should read comment them below in the comment section.

The Assassins Blade by Sarah J. Maas Review

Hey everyone, i have just finished another amazing book called the Assassins Blade by Sarah J. Maas which is the first book in the Throne of Glass series which i personally love so much and would totally read it again.

So this book was about how Celaena Sardathion trained as the worlds best assassin with her best friend Sam Cortland in a place called Rifthold. She and Sam were sent on a mission and needed to successfully see a slave trade go through, but Celaena doesn't like the idea of slave trade and frees all 200 slaves and kills the pirate lord who was keeping them there. But like always doing the right thing came out with some consequences and she is sent away for the summer to the Red desert where she trained to become a better assassin with the silent assassins only to find out that one of the friends that she made was a traitor and was only out for revenge. In the battle between them Celaena told her to leave and never come back and if after a certain time she was still there she would send an  arrow straight through her heart. When she got back to Rifthold she found out that Sam had been beaten because he had helped her free all the slaves, and was now working as a guard for the courtesans that were living there. She didn't trust him and felt him slipping away, until he told her that he was in love with her and shouldn't trust the gifts that there master sends her. She starts to fall in love when a tragedy happens and becomes out for revenge.

This book is the first book in the Throne of Glass series and i truly love this book series. This deserves a 5 star rating because it was just an amazing book and can't wait to read the others.

Storm Siren by Mary Weber review

I have just finished a good book, called Storm Siren by Mary Weber. This book was great way to start off a school year. This book was great and i recommend this book to people who like a book about how you break out of chains and become someone new and dependent.

So this book was about a girl lamed Nym is something called an elemental who has the power to control storms and start them whenever she wants to, from her anger. She is also a slave and has been owned by 14 people and all know that she is an elemental and probably have died. She gets ready to be sold and every person there wants her to take her hood off, if she does that then everyone will know that she is dangerous and there has never in any life time been a girl elemental, but some bad men pull it off of her head and everyone freaks out. But still someone named Adora takes her and has a trainer train her how to control her powers. Nym starts to fall for the trainer and gets a warning from Adora, only to find out that there were more secrets behind everyone that she cared about. And that she is only being used to help stop a war.

In the end the book wasn't my favorite but it was still good and deserves a 4 star rating. Also if you have any books to suggest to me i do read the comments and would hope to find a good book to read in the future.

The Summer of Broken Things by Margret Haddix Peterson Review

I have gotten a great book called The Summer of Broken Things by Margret Haddix Peterson, who i got the liberty of meeting at the Cavalcade of Authors that happened this year. This was a truly amazing book and i can't wait to read more of hers.

So this book was about two girls who used to be friends when they were really little but aren't friends anymore since they don't hangout anymore. the two girls are Kayla and Avery. Avery's dad is rich and is going on a business trip to Spain, and is forcing Avery to come along, and he says that she can bring a friend with her because he is going to be gone for a little. Avery already had someone in mind but her father says that he already chose someone for her. He chose Kayla, Avery of course isn't happy about this and complains because Kayla isn't really one of her friends. They go to Spain together, but Avery loses her passport and isn't very happy about it. They are being forced to go to a Spanish class to learn Spanish. Avery doesn't want to go and makes Kayla cover for her. Kayla is enjoying her time in Spain until when the passport gets delivered the girls find out a deep secret that could change their life.

This was such a good book to read, but was a little confusing because it changed back in forth between the two characters. This deserves a 4 1/2 star because of the detail that was put into and the hard work of it. Also if you have any good books to read please leave me a comment and i will see if i can get to the book.

The Selection Series by Kiera Cass Review

Hey guys, so i did a challenge where i read a whole book series in one week and the one i did was called the Selection by Kiera Cass. Kiera Cass also did the book called The Siren which i also did a review to. So, this book should be recommended to people who love the Bachelor, but this time its with royalty.

So this book series starts out with a girl named America who has a rank of a five, a five is a pretty low rank and they don't have enough money, so she has a boyfriend and he is a six so if she were to marry him she would become a six to. So, there is a thing that when the king and queens heir is old enough they start something called the Selection. America gets chosen for this and when the first night rolls around of the competition she is out in the garden and she and the prince, Maxon, seem to bond really well. They just want to stay friends, but there relationship seems to grow more and more. Until, America's old boyfriend shows up, as a royal guard. Maxon sees this strange connection between the two but doesn't  see the connection that well. So he carries on with the selection and while he is off with other girls America starts seeing her ex again and hopes not to get caught because if she does she will be kicked off the Selection. But America also feels that her and Maxon's relationship have grown farther apart. Soon, Maxon feels as if he has made his final decision which is to pick America, until he catches America with her ex, and feels betrayed. But in the final ball he was going to pick another girl but there was an attack on the castle, and Maxon gets terribly hurt, America stays with him until the ambush is over, then he truly sees that America does love him and gets married.

After a while they have a a lot of kids and the next books go by the point of view of the oldest, Evelyn, who is soon to be queen. She has come of age to begin the selection, but she wants to rule by herself as just a single ruler, she only said yes because she didn't wish to fall in love and was going to quit after three months of the Selection. But when she begins she happens to find a guy who didn't speak English and needed a translator named Erik. But when Evelyn starts to fall in love with some of the guys, finds out some bad things that could effect her choice. The boys invite her on group dates for a baseball game and cooking in the kitchen. But during the baseball game her mother, America, has a heart attack and is stuck asleep for a while, and because her father, Maxon, is also a little ill, she must be in charge for some time as queen. Still having the Selection to handle and now the county her life is crazy, and must find whom she can trust, because of a sudden threat that accrues from who she thought was a friend, but all he wanted was to take the throne for himself. I don't want to spoil if she picks someone or what happens to the sudden threat, but i did love the end of the book.

I truly loved this book series and would read it again if i wanted. This whole book series deserves a 5 star review, and if you like the Bachelor or the Bachelorette stuff you will love this book series. Also if you have a great book series to read please tell me and i will see what i can to to read it.

Ice like fire by Review Sara Raasch

hey i have finished this great book called Ice like Fire by Sara Raasch, which was the second book in this trilogy and i totally love it. So this book was about how after the first book where  if you haven't read Snow like Ashes yet go read that because this next book has a little spoiler that plays a lot into this role. So go read that first before you read this.

So this book is about Meira, who in the last part of the book finds out the Mather is not the soon to be king but Meria is supposed to be the queen. After this happens she tries to find the a chasm of magic but its really dangerous. Meira does this with the help of Theron's help, which they are soon to marry. The find it in a mine and now need to find keys from the other seasons before the bad person does. (The bad persons name is really weird and can't be spelled without auto-correct coming in). So, They go to some of the seasons and i won't tell you whether or not they find the keys, but plot twist comes into action when we find out that Theron is helping the bad guy to find the keys and open the magic chasm for himself. The rest is bad and would spoil the book so i won't tell you that.

This was really an extraordinary book, it wasn't perfect and had some flaws but overall deserves a 4 1/2 stared review. Remember if you have a book that you think would be great and that i should read please leave it in the comments.

Hey Guys, i have just finished a great book called Court of Fives by Kate Elliot, this story was a great story for getting something you have worked so hard for, and truly recommend this story for people who love a good plot twist in the middle of the story.

So this story was about a girl named Jessamay, who went against her fathers wishes and ran in something called the Running of the Fives. So the Running of the Fives is like an obstacle course that is you fall off of something you could die. There she meets a guy named Kal so he is a prince and his parents want him to join the army. So, when her father goes out in the middle of the night to go meet with someone he finds out that she had been training and running the Fives without him knowing. So the guy that he talks to is a really powerful guy who says that he wants her to come train at his training stable and she does. Review for Everless by Sara Holland

I have just finished a great book the first one in its duo series called Everless by Sara Holland, which was totally amazing and i loved the ending but it was a little sad so.

This book was about a girl named Jules who lived with her father and they didn't have enough money which was called time. So time is how people pay there taxes or buy stuff and it takes time out of there life. So Jule's went and got a job as a kitchen maid in a place called Everless and there she met some people including to men named Roan and Liam. Roan was engaged to a girl named Ina Gold who Jule's became a hand maid for. but little did she know that when Liam was trying to get her away from Ina's other hand maid Caro, he was really getting her away from the Sorceress. The sorceress is like a god to the people of Everless and its based of the tale of the Alchemist and the sorceress. So the Alchemist tried to trick the sorceress to eat her heart to give her immortality but she told him to eat it giving him 10 life lines so when he died he was just reborn. The alchemist went missing and the sorceress went out to find him and kill him for good. So back to the story, Liam was trying to protect Jules from getting  hurt and dying, because she is the Alchemist and soon finds out that Caro knows to. So Caro starts out to kill everyone she loves starting with Roan. Jules after that runs away to try and stay alive.

Review on Huntress of Thornbeck Forest by Melanie Dicherson

I have just finished the best medieval fairy tale that is truly a great love interest book ever, this book is called The Huntress of Thornbeck Forest by Melanie Dickerson. Also i totally recommend this to people who love to read fairy tales with love triangles.

So this story is about a girl named Odette who poaches deer to feed the poor, so kind of like a girl Robin Hood. Odette is such a nice person, she is orphaned though and lives with her uncle Rutger, and she is unmarried. The only problem with being unmarried is her uncle starts to set up suitors for her because she should probably get married. She then goes to a festival and dances with two handsome men named Jorgen and Mathis. Mathis is a rich man and is truly in love with Odette, he even asks to marry her. Jorgen on the other hand is a Forester, so he goes into the forest and is tracking down a poacher who is killing the deer. So Jorgen is being forced to report to somebody who wants him dead, and he is so close to finding out who it is. Jorgen goes out into the forest and finds out who the poacher is by shooting it twice. Once he knows he has a choice to tell the person he is reporting to or not.

This was just a great book, it wasn't my favorite fairy tale that i have read so far but it was pretty good. I believe that this deserves a 4 1/2 rating, and recommend this to anyone who loves love triangles and medieval fairy tales. Remember i love reading the comments that you guys post and if you have great books that you want me to read and i will get to them.

Hey everyone i have just finished a great story called Between the Blade and the Heart by Amanda Hocking. This book is truly one of my favorite Amanda Hocking books, and i can't wait to read the next book in the Valkyrie Series.

This story was about a girl named Marlin who is a Valkyrie, which is a person who is a person who is responsible to kill people who have lived long enough and its time for them to leave because of over population in the city. So she is not certified yet and she needs her mom to be there with her because of not being qualified to do it alone. One day a guy named Asher breaks into her apartment that she shares with her best friend who is a sorceress in training, and he says that Marlins mother killed his mother and he wants to take revenge. But really this other guy killed his mom and that guys name is Tamerlane who one day became an immortal that could never be killed, and the only way to kill him is a blade that his creator used. So when Marlin found out that her mother had failed her mission to kill this him but she let him go, Marlin, Asher, and her mother went to go confront him and kill him once and for all, but instead he killed Marlin's mother.  She went into mourning and decided to go after Tamerlane and kill him with the dagger that his creator had used. I don't want to spoil this but i don't believe that Asher is in the first part of the next book.

This book was truly amazing and i totally recommend this to people who love Game of Thrones or Blade Runner because that is what this book is about. This truly deserves a 5 star rating.

Review On Nightblood by Elly Blake

Hey guys, so i have just finished reading this amazing story called Nightblood by Elly Blake. This was just a great book and i loved how it tied up the end of the series. I honestly started to cry at the end from what happens but i don't want to spoil it for you.

So this book was about how after Ruby completed the fireblood trials and passed making her a Fireblood master but she also finds out that she is  nightblood which can hold a shadow demon called the minax which slowly kill you. She also met up with Arcus, the Frostblood king, and he of course is in love with Ruby and him find out that the only way to get rid of the minax is to kill it by going into a gate of souls, so people that are dead. But they have no clue were it is since it is on the Isle of Night. They go and get information and save the only person who knows were the isle is, Arcus almost dies like maybe five times. They finally get to the isle of Night which they find out that one of the gods in human form has his army, the Servants, coming to attack. So, time is of the essence because the only way to stop this is for Ruby to enter the gate and kill the minax. But in the process Arcus dies saving Ruby. The rest of this would be a spoiler to you readers so i'm not going to spoil that.

This was just a great book that was truly a great book and it was the last book in it's series. And i recommend to people who like a good action book. It truly deserves a 4 1/2 star review because it wasn't perfect, but still good.

Review on Arch Enemy By Frank Beddor

I have just finished the last book in The Looking Glass Wars named "Arch Enemy" by Frank Beddor. This book was just a great way to end this series and i totally recommend this to all people who love Alice in Wonderland stories.

So this book was about Alyss coming back out of hiding and teaming up with her aunt who recently was almost murdered by King Arch of Boarderland. Because she joined up they cannot kill each other until Arch is out of the picture. Still both lack there imagination powers so they must rely on other skills and a little help from the man himself Hatter Madigan. But soon Alyss finds out that the family that she stayed with on earth has now been threatened by Arch. Once she goes through and saves them killing the kings greatest assassin, she realizes that this was just a diversion for her to go through and be trapped there forever, because the portal between Wonderland and earth has been drained. While Alyss is there she meets up with Hatter Madigan's daughter, Homburg Molly. Who helps her get back to wonderland and also decides to go back to, since she has created something that gets them back. Alyss arrives just in time to try and save somebody's life but they end up dying from an explosion also killing King Arch himself, leaving Alyss to rule her kingdom in peace.

This was just a great way to end this series and i do recommend this to people who love this stuff. It truly deserves a 5 star rating. Also please keep telling me great books to read and i will get to them as soon as possible.

Review on Seeing Redd by Frank Beddor

I have finished a great book called "Seeing Redd" by Frank Beddor. This book was just a great book to be in the middle of its series cause it really tied everything together.

So this book was about how Alyss's aunt came back into power after she jumped through the Crystal Heart which creates inventions in the real world on earth. During this Alyss is queen and there are more disruptions in this world because people believe that her Imperial Viciousness, Redd, who comes back to try and get her old kingdom back. So she joins up with The bordering kingdom to wonderland, called Boarderland and its king Arch. But Arch turns on her and tries to kill her and she of course gets out because she is in the next book. Now Alyss is out of reach and nobody can find her.

This book was great and deserves a 4 1/2 because it wasn't exactly perfect. I also finished another book over this holiday but was not able to post it because of being with my family. Hope you had a Great New Years Eve.
